Keep it Clean!

October 18, 2012

At True Blue Bay Resort we love doing what we can to contribute to the preservation of our treasured environment and our beautiful island of Grenada. Whether it is as simple as minimizing the use of plastic straws at the Dodgy Dock Restaurant or going a step further and using energy saving light bulbs, AC sensors in all rooms or solar water heaters, our minds have always been on caring about our precious environment.

Last weekend, some of the staff at the hotel along with friends of the resort engaged in the clean up of True Blue Beach, a lovely and charming little beach located just a few steps from the resort. In a couple hours, we were able to fill a number of garbage bags collected in the surrounding areas. New garbage bins were placed close to the entrance of the beach and a couple very creative signs made with recycled materials by Marie Fielden (our environmental Green Globe officer) where posted, captioned “Keep it clean” and “Do not litter”.

One more mission accomplished by our True Green Team!
