We are so tickled that you made us your choice and it shows. Our cheerful housekeeping staff ensures that your space makes you feel at complete ease . If you opted for our turn down service you will find an organic ethically produced Grenadian chocolate bon bon on your bed from local bon bon shop and Chocolate Museum House of Chocolate (you can’t leave the island without paying them a visit).
In the morning you don’t have to lift a finger to prepare your first meal if you don’t want to. Just walk down to our waterfront restaurant and choose your perfectly balanced (or not so balanced) breakfast from our mouth watering buffet- homemade pastries infused with love, a choice of local seasonal fruits, fresh fruit juice, coconut water (the perfect way to gently awaken your body), local herbal tea, freshly brewed coffee, eggs any style made just the way you want it, warm pancakes, cereals (both hot and cold) and a few other surprises.
Our concierge, Kaylee, is eager to help you plan and organize your daily activities so that you experience the island in a way best suited to your desired pace.
So…how can you take all of this magic back home? Here are our simple tips:
Know that you deserve to feel great
That holiday feeling is good right? In case you don’t already know this you deserve more of that holiday goodness infused in your ordinary everyday life (just saying). Recognize that your happiness is fundamental to your growth and the it is the nutrients that will cause your life to blossom.
Priorities feeling great even through life’s sticky situations
Make your bed as soon as you get up
Here is where we get practical. You cannot take our housekeeping service with you (just to be clear), but, you can do something small everyday that will make a big difference. Coming home to a lovingly made bed as opposed to crinkled sheets gives you a great feeling. It only takes a few moments but the effects are amazing. According to Shape Magazine:
People who make their beds every morning are 19 percent more likely to report regularly getting a good nights’ rest, and 75 percent of people said they got a better night’s sleep when their sheets were fresh and clean because they were physically more comfortable, according to a survey by the National Sleep Foundation.”
Decorate your space with fresh flowers
Giving flowers to someone has always been a sign of love and admiration. Fresh flowers really bring life and love into a room. You don’t have to put them on your bed like we do and they don’t have to be expensive or fancy. Pick some wild ones and put them into a vase and place them somewhere you know you will see them often. It is just a little reminder “hey you, you are deserve the pretty things in life”
Make yourself a breakfast spread with all your favourites
This one may be a bit of a challenge during the week, especially if you work. However, there is always the weekend and days off (whenever those are for you). Prepare in advance, get all your favourites and create a little buffet breakfast spread- spend a little extra time at breakfast, make it leisurely and ease into your day. You know what would make this even better…if you put it on a tray and ate it in bed!
Explore your home town…plan a fun day out
Ah! An excursion- explore your home town like a tourist. Often we forget how much fun there is to be had in our own backyard. Check out your local tourism website and see what they recommend- then go do it. Pack a picnic basket of goodies to munch on or dine at a restaurant you always wanted to try out. Just remember to keep it simple and fun. If you don’t have the time for a whole or half day excursion make time during some point of your busy day to do something out of your usual routine. Try a new lunch spot or make it a point to look at the sunset.
We would love to hear how you are taking your vacation home. Let us know if you have anything to add to this list or if you tried any of these out. See you soon!!
